This is a card that a friend has asked me to make for her to give to some friends when she goes back home to Canada in July. However, I made it yesterday and remembered seeing that Caardvarks had a challenge for Black & White + One and I think it fits the challenge. Black & White + Silver.

Products:
Silver and Black Bazzill Bling
Handmade paper (Silver & White)
Black Bling Ribbon
Pearl Buckle
Silver Brads

Please feel free to leave comments across my posts I love to know what you think, or even just say 'Hi' cause you stopped by.

Till next time, craft till you can craft no more!

Catch Up 2 - Unity Candles

Last weekend saw us have a quick break away to share in our friends Tamara & Joel's special day, their Wedding, up on the Central Coast. We had a good time, it was just a shame that the weather wasn't so great. During the week leading upto the wedding I caught up with Tam to put together their Unity Candles, which you can see above. Thanks to Tam and Joel for letting me do them for you, I'm sure they are something that you'll treasure for years to come.

Scrappy Week & Catchup 1

Long time between posts again, and believe me I've felt guilty about not getting to post. After our boys 1st Birthday, I got called to do a fair bit of casual work which was a huge change cause it had been 12 months since I'd taught. But it was a nice change, I'd forgotten how much I enjoy teaching, but also how much I love being able to spend my days with Blake. So anyways, onto more crafty matters...

Above is a photo of a set of invites I made for my nieces 5th Birthday. Just a criss-cross card using the Disney Princess Cuttlebug die set. She absolutely loved them, and to top it off and match in with the whole Cinderella theme, I helped my sister create a Cinderella cake like I made the Lightning McQueen cake. The party went well and it was also good to catch up and see all my nieces and nephews having fun.

A scrappy week...
I put in some Aunty time also this week, taking the two eldest to Scrapbook Dreams to do a couple of kids classes.
On Monday I took my nephew (12) to a teens class to make a "Mini Book About Me", which he seemed to enjoy. He took it home before I got the chance to take any pics of his efforts. But I'll be sure to get some sometime this week coming and post them. I also took a cousin with us on  Monday (16) and she too enjoyed it. I really enjoyed sharing this time with them and hope that next holidays we can do some other classes.

On Tuesday I took my niece (5) to a class and she made a little canvas and a card, which was really cute. She really surprised me on what she could do. Once again no pics taken but will take some during the week when I see them.

Wednesday I started a new 8 week course, which will be lots of fun... Brenda is teaching it so I'm sure I'll learn lots. Also finalised design for my brother-in-law's 40th Birthday invites.

Thursday, I started the production of B-I-L's 40th invites, these are baseball themed.
Will post up some pics of these over the next couple of days.

Friday caught up with some friends to do some crafting for a couple of hours.

I have another couple of posts for today. So be sure to come back.

What an awesome scrappy week I've had and its not over yet! Woohoo!

Busy busy busy....

Way to long since my last blog, as I've been super busy. Our little man turned 1 on Saturday and so I have been kept busy with the prep for that for the last few weeks and have spent the last couple of days recovering! Thankfully everything ran smoothly, we had a party for him with just family and a couple of close friends.
Even so, it was still 50 people, so there was a bit to organise.

The party was themed around the Disney character Lightning McQueen, from Cars.
The invitations were of course handmade by myself, and every piece apart from the eyes (I was able to use my cricut for these), were hand cut.
They were very time consuming, but I was happy with the end result.

I also made his cake myself, and I'm pretty pleased with it, considering I've never done any sort of cake decorating before.

I'm also about to finish off some invitations for my neice's 5th Birthday, but no pics of them as yet. I will post them probably over the weekend.

Tutorial Request: Over the weekend I will also post up my First tutorial, based upon the card I made for Brenda for her birthday, as seen in my previous post. Thanks Gwen for your request. How exciting for me! :0)

Happy Belated Birthday Brenda!

In my last post earlier this morning, I promised a new but old project. Well it's only a couple of weeks old and it was for Brenda's birthday at the beginning of this month. I held off on posting it
up because I didn't want her to see it before I gave it to her.

For this card I used papers from Doodlebug Designs and an Autumn Leaves butterfly stamp.
I also used my aqua pen to gives different parts of the butterfly different tones. to see it on here before I gave it to her. However, when I looked at the picture today I realised I didn't use any Kindyglitz. (So not like me). Anyways, I hope you liked it Brenda.

Finally last night I had the opportunity to give it to her at the next series of Cardmaking classes she is teaching. On the subject of class last night, we made an Easter card which was very cute, with gorgeous flowers and a cute little basket.
(Hopefully she'll post a pic up on her blog, showing off her wonderful design talents).
*Hint Hint Brenda* ;o)

Blake's invites are underway finally and I will certainly post a pic up of them towards the end of the weekend once I am finished them. They are a little late going out, but hey at least they will be going out.

To all, have a lovely weekend and please leave a comment to let me know you stopped by. I'd love you to say hi.

Cheers,

Rachael

Update...

New, but old project to post up soon. Be sure to check back later.

Check It Out!

Hey all,

Thanks for dropping by... not much crafting happening here at the moment.
But hopefully some later on in the day.  I added a link section to a variety of Challenge sites that I have come across for most of which are for cardmaking. Some of the challenge sites are weekly and others are fortnightly. They are great way to get some inspiration when your lacking your Mojo! Anyways enough about me for today.

Brenda, Brenda, Brenda! Lol
Somehow I made Brenda feel a little guilty about not having upadated her blog in over 18 months (I'm still not sure how I managed it - sorry) So to support her and to encourage her to keep on blogging, head on over and check out Brenda's  (aka Scrapratt) blog, she has posted up a new project. She is a busy bee, but truly an inspiration. :0)
